ID Requirement: School policy requires new and returning students to show a photo ID to confirm identity. Please bring your ID to the main office after you complete your registration form, or if you prefer, you can send a photo of your ID to our school email account: [email protected].

Test Requirement: You will need to take a placement test called a CASAS test before you can be enrolled into the class.  You can make your appointment at the end of your online registration form.  You will see a link that will direct you to our CASAS scheduling calendar.  Please pick the time and date for your test that is most convenient to you.  
 
Requisito de la prueba: Deberá realizar una prueba de ubicación llamada prueba CASAS antes de poder inscribirse en la clase. Puede hacer su cita al final de su formulario de registro en línea. Verá un enlace que lo dirigirá a nuestro calendario de programación de CASAS. Elija la hora y la fecha de su examen que le resulten más convenientes.
 
 
Requirement:
CASAS Pre Test -  You are required to take a placement test before we enroll you into the class.  This test is only administered in the office and last approximately 1 hour.  You will be asked to choose a date and time when you fill out the online registration.
CASAS Progress - You will be required to take a progress test approximately mid semester to monitor your progress.  This test is only administered in the office and last approximately an hour.
CASAS Post Test - You will be required to take an exit test towards the end of the semester to see your overall progress.  This test is only administered in the office and last approximately an hour.
 
*Failure to take any of these CASAS test will lead to the deactivation of your GED account*

Examen de CASAS: debe realizar una prueba de ubicación antes de que lo inscribamos en la clase. Esta prueba solo se administra en la oficina y dura aproximadamente una hora. Se le pedirá que elija una fecha y hora cuando complete el registro en línea.

GED® Testing

Eligibility Requirements
  1. Minimum of 18 years of age, or within 60 days of 18th birthday
  2. California resident
  3. Do not already hold a standard high school diploma
  4. Possess a current valid identification card, or government issued photo ID

Official GED® EXAM & Fees
Registration fees should be paid online at www.ged.com

EXAM SECTIONS LENGTH EXAM CONTENT
Test 1. LANGUAGE ARTS 150 minutes The ability to read closely, write clearly, and to edit.
Test 2. MATHEMATICS 115 minutes Quantitative problem solving, and algebraic problem solving.
Test 3. SCIENCE 90 minutes Life, Physical, Earth, and Space Science. 
Test 4. SOCIAL STUDIES 75 minutes US History, World History, Geography, Economics, Civics and Government.

 

How to Register
The registration process for the GED® test is now much simpler. Create your MyGED account at www.ged.com and you will be able to access a dashboard full of information about test preparation, scheduling, scoring, and college and career opportunities. When you are ready to schedule your tests, log in to your MyGED account, click "Start scheduling" complete the demographic questions, schedule one test or multiple tests at a time and pay for your appointment. You can also register for the exam by calling 1-877-EXAM-GED.
