GED® Test Preparation Class

A GED® Test credential can open doors to a job or college! Enroll in El Rancho Education Center’s Test Preparation Program for the GED® Test. Be part of it!

GED® Testing

El Rancho Education Center is a State-Approved GED® Test Center and an approved Pearson VUE computerized testing center.

The new GED® Test replaced the old 2002 version. The new exam is a computer based exam and consists of four sub-tests.

Eligibility Requirements
  1. Minimum of 18 years of age, or within 60 days of 18th birthday
  2. California resident
  3. Do not already hold a standard high school diploma
  4. Possess a current valid identification card, or government issued photo ID

Tuesday 5:00  pm-  8:00 pm
Wednesday 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Registration fees should be paid online at www.ged.com

EXAM SECTIONS LENGTH EXAM CONTENT
Test 1. LANGUAGE ARTS 150 minutes The ability to read closely, write clearly, and to edit.
Test 2. MATHEMATICS 115 minutes Quantitative problem solving, and algebraic problem solving.
Test 3. SCIENCE 90 minutes Life, Physical, Earth, and Space Science. 
Test 4. SOCIAL STUDIES 75 minutes US History, World History, Geography, Economics, Civics and Government.

 

How to Register
The registration process for the GED® test is now much simpler. Create your MyGED account at www.ged.com and you will be able to access a dashboard full of information about test preparation, scheduling, scoring, and college and career opportunities. When you are ready to schedule your tests, log in to your MyGED account, click "Start scheduling" complete the demographic questions, schedule one test or multiple tests at a time and pay for your appointment. You can also register for the exam by calling 1-877-EXAM-GED.
