Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Free Classes!
El Rancho’s Adult Basic Education program (ABE) provides day and evening classes in basic English and Math for Native English-speakers with limited literacy/math skills (up to an 8th grade level) and for English as a Second Language (ESL) transition students. The course provides instruction for everyday life skills, GED preparation, college training and employment.

ID Requirement: School policy requires new and returning students to show a photo ID to confirm identity. Please bring your ID to the main office after you complete your registration form, or if you prefer, you can send a photo of your ID to our school email account: [email protected].
Test Requirement: You will need to take a placement test called a CASAS test before you can be enrolled into the class. You can make your appointment at the end of your online registration form. You will see a link that will direct you to our CASAS scheduling calendar. Please pick the time and date for your test that is most convenient to you.
